I love videogames especially old school games. I've played almost every classic and I love making parody's of it in sprite animations. If you do not like Sprite animations please go watch actual drawings on another place or at least give it a chance.

I will admit that this series has quality animation, but does it matter? Of course not! This series obviously is not about animation. Otherwise, it wouldn't be filled with horrible and blatantly obvious attempts at appealing to the masses with pseudo-Japanese animation, tired "anti-racism" messages (which, in an age where anti-racism messages are mostly used to perpetrate racism, seems rather tasteless, but this movie was quite clearly not made by black supremacists or intended to further the black supremacist agenda, so that is a separate issue) that most viewers have already been saturated with, or the even more tired "love story" that forms the basis of most of today's prolefeed, such as Twilight, Harry Potter, and anything by Disney, and perpetuates an absurd concept of "love".

The music, as with most other successful Flash movies, excepting video game parodies, is generic Japanese rock. This, as well as the other pseudo-Asian elements of the movie, and the rest of the series, is, I suspect, a large contributor to its success. Many Newgrounds users follow the pathetic, recycled prolefeed that is anime fandom, and are therefore brainwashed into enjoying anything that even remotely resembles it, or any other aspect of Asian culture. This movie is quite clearly no exception. While I am sure this series would have succeeded if it had been set in America, because of the other recycled elements that the proles of Newgrounds appear to somehow derive enjoyment from, I am also convinced that it has received an even greater reception because of the inclusion of stylistic elements that were clearly stolen from anime.

In addition to that, there is no attempt to add anything original to the series; it is simply another small variation on the same themes that have been recycled since the dawn of mass entertainment. Love story. Social commentary. Anime. That's all this movie has to offer; nothing new or even slightly different, just those three tired old themes thrown together and drawn out into a series. Yawn.
